Congratulations on winning the Region 4 Environmental Stewardship Award. Stewardship of the land is something that most ranchers hold in high regard, and it is important for our industry to honor those who exemplify what true sustainability is all about.

My time at the Matador Ranch was a wonderful experience.  The food, accommodations, and most of all the staff, exceeded my expectations. I have been hunting for 45 years in different parts of the world, and I can honestly say this was one of my most memorable hunts.  My guide, Sam, was very professional, but also made me feel like an old friend.  Les was right--I arrived there a cusomer and left a friend.  I will be back.

 Thank you for the opportunity to purchase one of your fine ranch geldings.  Our geldings on this ranch are a daily and integral part of this operation so we strive to find the best, such as we purchased this past weekend in Abilene.  I also very much appreciate J.D. and his willingness to answer all of my questions as well as his eagerness to find me after the sale to make sure I was well informed about the gelding and to thank me for the purchase.  We currently have San-Man with the rest of our remuda in green pasture resting and determining pecking order.  We look forward to using him later this week as we rotate pastures. 

 I’d also like to thank you for your session at TSCRA last month.  In fact, we have implemented some of your methods in hiring employees to fill positions on newly purchased ranch property over the past few weeks.

Hunting the Matador Ranch has become an annual tradition for me and my son.  The guides are knowledgeable and attentive, besides just being great guys.  The food is excellent.  The lodge is beautiful.  The white-tailed deer are trophy bucks.  To top it off, they treat us like family!  It's a great place.

The FF Ranch would like to thank Bob Kilmer, Les Woolsey, and Bobby Buntyn of the Matador Ranch for the purchase of our bred white-tailed does.  The Matador Ranch made the experience of our first scientific deer purchase an enjoyable process, and their professionalism was truly appreciated.

The deer far exceed any of our expectations; our first two 1-year-old bucks each scored over 170 inches.  

The Matador Ranch also conducted the AI procedures on our last year's does at Ranch's first-class facility.  Those does achieved a 200% fawn birth rate.
